The new battery adaptor for a Gossen Lunasix lightmeter.

Here is some good news for owners of older Gossen Lunasix light meters. (includes Lunasix, Lunasix 3, Lunasix 3S, Luna-Pro, Luna-Pro S models).

The original battery adapters for these light meters were discontinued due to component unavailability. In response to strong demand, Gossen has now developed a successor.

This enables these historical exposure meters to continue to be used (provided they still function properly).

The new battery adaptor allows SR43 batteries to be used.

The new battery adapter does away with the requirement to use the obsolete mercury oxide button cells V625PX or PX13. Instead two silver oxide button cells IEC code SR 43 are used. The adaptor both fits into the old meters and replicates the electrical characteristics of the original batteries.

The replacement kit includes the battery adapter as well as two IEC SR 43 button cells. It is available from either specialist photography outlets or can be purchased directly from the GOSSEN online store at https://gossen-photo.de/produkt/batterie-adapter-set

The SilvergrainClassics team will test the adapter as soon as we have taken delivery of an old model Gossen exposure meter. We will report back soon.
