Instant photography is a passion that lives every day

Once Edwin Land said: “The Polaroid camera is a system that will be a partner in perception, enabling us to see the objects in the world around us more vividly than we can see them without it, a system to be an aid to memory and a tool for exploration.”

In these few words there is an entire small world, made up of photographers, artists and enthusiasts, who have dedicated their entire lives or simply their free time to the love of Polaroids.

Instant photography is a passion that lives every day, a thread that unites people all over the world.

It’s a community, an enlarged family that shares results, ideas and new technologies.

Since the death and rebirth of Polaroid in 2008, instant photography, instead of suffering from lack of attention, has witnessed the most impressive growth of all years.

The “polaroiders” mixing experience and innovation have created new techniques and the community has grown with expert photographers who help newbies, and freshly ideas of these that have stimulated the “old guard” in new improvements, like a new principle of physics, the creative energy that is given returns renewed and magnified in an artistic perpetual motion.

This amazing little world is represented yearly in exhibitions all around Europe.

Next stop will be PARIS during the Paris Photo exhibition; 20 Polaroiders from all around the world will exhibit a selection of their works at Instant Art hosted by Galerie Iconoclastes, 20 Rue Danielle Casanova, from 8th to 10th of November.

Istant Art curated by the German Artist Herr Merzi will bring on the walls of the gallery the Polaroid Zeit Geist, or using the words of Edwin Land the “perception” and the “exploration” of the modern instant photographers.
