KODAK Color Negative Chemicals Make a Triumphant Return!
By SilvergrainClassics
We’re thrilled to share exciting news with our SilvergrainClassics community: KODAK Color Negative photo chemicals are officially back in production! Thanks to a collaboration between Photo Systems Inc. (PSI) and CineStill Inc., and with the support of Eastman Kodak Co., the iconic KODAK Color Negative chemicals — formerly known as KODAK FLEXICOLOR — are available once again. These trusted formulas have been the gold standard for decades, delivering unparalleled color accuracy and consistency for professionals and enthusiasts alike.
The reintroduction of these chemicals includes the KODAK Color Negative C-41 Film Processing Kit, perfect for at-home development or small labs. Available in 2.5 liter or 5 liter sizes, this kit is versatile, ideal for processing all color negative films compatible with the C-41 process, as well as B&W chromogenic films. This revival follows the successful re-release of KODAK PROFESSIONAL Black and White photochemicals earlier this year.
PSI, the official KODAK Brand Licensee, is managing the chemical formulation, manufacturing, and distribution, ensuring the highest quality with KODAK Quality Assurance. Meanwhile, CineStill has contributed to branding and marketing, connecting these classic products with a new generation of film enthusiasts.
As always, SilvergrainClassics is dedicated to keeping our readers informed about the latest in analog photography. We’re eager to test these revived chemicals soon and share our experiences with you. Stay tuned!
